Pittsburgh Steelers at St. Louis Rams On NFL Network

I want to win…now.

So what. The Steelers benched Anthony Smith. I can’t hate the young cat, who thought his team had his back, let ESPN take away their violent attack, and for two straight weeks hasn’t done jack…

Big game looms tonight for Blitzburgh

The Steelers, coming off losses to teams who will be there when the weather gets really bad–New England and Jacksonville–better apply pressure and stop the bleeding before they fall from the AFC North top spot. Cleveland is a Braylon Edwards victory dance away from tying running past the Steelers for the division lead, so this is a must win. These Thursday night games late in the season got ta be brutal on a medical training staff. The Steelers are beaten up on defense but can’t afford another slip up regardless of who is on the sideline nursing injury.

The Rams are 1-6 at home but feature one of the best–if not the best–backs in the league in Stephen Jackson. This cat will run for 2 stacks before its all over–barring injury. He’s too strong, too focused and definitely too tired of losing. Bulger better have 8 eyes tonight because something has got to give.

Steelers are going to be just too much as Willie Parker runs around and through the Rams’ linebackers for 130 and three tds–earlsky.

Pittsburgh 27, Rams 13

  1. Shall we discuss the Soul Patrol of Faulk, Sanders, and Gumbel.

The Masses are just enraged that Gumbel gets to stink up the joint on NFLN.

The man has done 15 games in 30 years…hes getting better, just not very quickly.

  2. Not to highjack the post but did anyone read this……….http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-clemens-schilling&prov=ap&type=lgns

  3. I linked to schilling’s blog in Friday Fire.

  4. Damn I jinxed Willie Parker! My bad Steeler fans.

  5. thebrotherreport Says:

The Faulk jersey retirement was a surprise to me, I’m glad he was recognized and is well on his way to Canton. Was looking at Deion tonight thinking that in two or three years I will see my one of my All-Time favorite players enshrined in Canton with my son, the other is Lynn Swann whose enshrinement I missed.

  6. Yeah Mizzo, that’s not appreciated. They need Parker and they need Aaron Smith. Ben is looking good though. They still need to work on their red zone offense.

  7. the Steeler franchise is the best owned and operated team in the league. The Steel Curtain era was a golden age for the town and that’s something that no true football fan will ever forget…
